A lean venison mince cottage pie deepened with mushrooms under root-veg mash.
Quantities scaled from the original (6 servings).
Tick ingredients off as you gather them.
Brown the venison and mushrooms in the oil; remove.
Soften onion and carrots; add garlic, puree and thyme.
Return the mince with Worcestershire and stock; simmer 30 minutes.
Boil and mash potatoes and swede with milk and butter.
Top the mince; bake at 200C fan for 25 minutes. Serve with peas.
